Guests are encouraged to pack a variety of clothing types. The many activities and adventures at our resort call for active wear, but you may want to have something resort casual as well. Remember your swimsuit and hat.
Is there an age limit at the resort?
Guests must be 16 years or older.
Can I bring my pet?
Unfortunately, we must ask guests to leave their furry friends at home. Due to safety concerns with local wildlife, Castle Hot Springs is not a pet-friendly resort.
Can I dine at the resort or use the hot springs if I’m not a guest?
The facilities at Castle Hot Springs are available to overnight guests only. We do not offer dining or resort day passes at this time to preserve the peacefulness of the guest experience.
What does Castle Hot Springs offer as part of their inclusive experience?
A stay at the resort includes all meals, including gratuities, many activities such as pickle and bocce ball, resort e-bikes, and guided hikes, farm tours, yoga and meditation, and exclusive use of all the hot springs. Also included are the service charge for bellman and housekeeping.
There are additional charges for massage services, horseback riding, ATV rentals, alcohol, and some specialty food and drink selections.
Will I have internet access or cell service?
There is limited cell service at the resort, though we do offer WiFi upon request to those who must stay connected. Castle Hot Springs does encourage a digital detox environment so there are areas that are e-free. We invite you to enjoy our resort’s naturally peaceful atmosphere.
How do I request arrangements for celebrations and special occasions?
Let us know about your special occasion and we will be happy to curate a custom experience for you. Wine, champagne, flowers and other amenities can be purchased to be placed in your room.
When are meal times at Castle Hot Springs?
We offer all day dining. We will accommodate your schedule. That said as a guideline we serve:
Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Lunch: Begins at 11 a.m.
All-Day Menu: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Dinner: 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
What dining options are available outside of mealtimes?
At Castle Hot Springs, dining is available all day. We strive to offer your meals as desired, so please speak with a member of our team if you have any special needs or requests.
Are meals included in my stay?
All meals and gratuities are included in your nightly rate. Guests are also welcome to enjoy alcoholic beverages & “mocktails” at an additional cost.
Do I need to make dinner reservations?
We do recommend making a dinner reservation if your schedule permits.
How can I arrive at Castle Hot Springs?
We are a short drive North of the Phoenix metro area. Castle Hot Springs Resort is located seven miles up a scenic dirt road off Arizona’s highway 74. High clearance vehicles are recommended. Plan for the drive from Phoenix to take approximately one hour, 30 minutes on paved road, 30 minutes on unpaved road. Once you leave the pavement, be sure to drive safely and watch out for wild burros.
We can also arrange transfers via a luxury SUV service. And a helicopter can also be arranged to arrive in style, from the Scottsdale Airport. Please contact our team members for prices and availability.
What type of car should I rent?
If you are renting a car, we recommend reserving a high clearance vehicle. Cars are available from multiple rental providers at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Prices vary per rental company and time of year.
Is there a parking fee?
Castle Hot Springs invites you to park your car from the moment you arrive until you need to leave. Valet parking is available on-site and included in your stay. You won’t need to worry about your car again until check out.
Can I arrive by helicopter?
Yes! Arrangements can be made to arrive by helicopter departing and returning from the Scottsdale Airport. Contact the hotel for pricing and availability.
In addition to guided hikes, Castle Hot Springs also sits at the edge of many hiking trails that traverse the surrounding desert. Trails vary in difficulty from easy to moderate. Guests up for a challenge can also hike nearby Salvation Peak. We welcome you to speak with our front desk upon check-in for trail recommendations.
Will I see wild animals on or around the property?
Nestled in the Sonoran Desert, Castle Hot Springs often welcomes visitors from the natural world. Keep your eyes peeled for a peek at resident coyote, fox, burros, hawks, and javelina.

The Spa at Castle Hot Springs offers services from custom cabanas set along the spring water creek. Indulge in a variety of massages and bodywork, with treatments starting at $200 for 60 minutes.
